Beyond The Human Eye is created by me, Liam Harrison. I have created this blog as my journal to showcase an interesting photographic style that I have recently come across, Macro Photography. I came across Macro Photography by looking at photographers that focused on the human eye and the complex and abstract nature of the patterns within it. Whilst searching on the internet I came across an artist called Thomas Rak. Rak is unlike any photographer I have seen as he takes the most amazing photographs of the oddest things imaginable, for example he takes photographs of the jumping spiders at an extremely close range. His images display the spider in a beautiful amount of colour and immense detail. Even though Rak’s photos may seem unusual and quite creepy, I see them as amazing work. Personally spiders scare the hell out of me, but from viewing his work I can appreciate that they can be presented in a purely beautiful manner. Rak achieves this with the way he presents them in his art.
